This one was way out of the blue. We took a Limo from the Suvarnabhumi to go to Pattaya. The price agreed on was cheaper than the coloured "meter taxis". I start relaxing for the trip, and we are soon pulling into a car yard. There are around 50 cars, and 20 or so Thai men. The driver opens my door, and tells me that we will be changing vehicle, to a decrepid death trap. I was so wild at being conned, I started yelling at him, and the yard boss. A dangerous thing to do, but they relented, and my wife and I ( she Thai ), continued in the vehicle we had hired. Anything could have happened there. I don't know what you can do to avoid this one.
