Been to Bangkok several times for long periods, this only happend once at the one place to me, but be aware.
Went clubbing with friends at Scratch dog (basement of windsor suites hotel) As it got late around 4.30 a.m (they close at 5 a.m) one waitor came up to us with a bill for 900 Bath claiming it was for ice bucket and mixers that we previously ordered, since i don`t drink I could clearly remember alreeady paying for all the ice and mixers, he was very presistant on us paying, and presented a croumbled upp bill, we refused and demanded to speak with the manager, we keept arguing for about 5 min before he gave up.
ps: when paying try to note the number on the waiter taking the payment if he/she are supposed to bring u change. I once payed a male waitor 1000b (since i did not have anything smaller) the bill was for about 250b. He never returned with the change, probably ended up in his pocket... and since all the waiters have matching uniforms and caps, u can imagine it was impossible to recognise him.

One night, checked in 1/2 bottle of JW Black as I was leaving (you can reserve your bottle for another night). The waiter never returned with my bottle ticket. All the waiters were paraded out in front of me so that I could identify who took it, and I could not recognize who it was.
I think it was a scam that most were in on, including the manager. I dont think the person that took the bottle was brought out. They got my 1/2 bottle of liquor because I did not pay attention.
